Over 100 years experience in making beautiful memorials

In 1918 Robert Munday decided to set up a small stone masonry business in Willesden, North West London, supplying traditional, hand made memorials mostly in marble.

By 1933 he had taken on his son Robert Jnr as an apprentice, and also the son of a local policeman's widow. This young 15 year old was my grandfather, and he and the young Bob Munday were to remain life long friends.

On completion of his apprenticeship my grandfather Basil Dearing went on to work at, and later own another local company Kenward and Son.

I am pleased to say the close relationship between these two companies continues, with the acquisition of Munday & Son by Kenward and Son Ltd
